Navigate user of the month: May 2021

How has your department/unit benefited from using Navigate?
Navigate is a fantastic resource for our advising team in AOE!  It helps us streamline our student support and communication. We regularly use a variety of the Navigate features, including referrals, appointment scheduling/reporting, campaigns, and advanced information searches. Navigate is an especially beneficial tool for connecting/communicating with other members of a student’s support team outside our office.

What feature in Navigate do you utilize the most?
I use the appointment scheduling and appointment reporting features almost daily. I frequently review reports from past appointments when responding to student emails and/or preparing for upcoming appointments. It is especially valuable to be able to see reports left by previous/additional advisors. The Navigate campaign and list features are also really beneficial for communicating with and monitoring groups of students.

What would you tell other advisors who are thinking of using Navigate?
Navigate is great for so many reasons! If you are new to it, I suggest starting with the appointment scheduling/reporting features. You can sync Navigate to your Google or Outlook calendar. Scheduling appointments through this platform is much less time consuming than trying to set them up through email.
