How has your department/unit benefited from using Navigate?
Navigate has many features that have helped us immensely. Having all conversations sent through Navigate in one place helps to understand what communication has been sent to the student. It's also provided a method for faculty and staff to issue early alerts when they believe a student may be in distress or need assistance. Being able to refer to previous notes from various units on campus, the student's schedule, academic progress, and prior conversations have been instrumental in working with students to help them succeed. We also use this for creating campaigns to strategically outreach to our students during certain periods of the year.

What feature in Navigate do you utilize the most?
I utilize the report and notes feature of Navigate the most. This is really helpful when working with a student to understand who they may have been in contact with prior to meeting with me and what resources have already been discussed. This helps me to better serve the student, talk about strategies, and document discussions as well as attachments the student will then be able to refer to in the future.

What would you tell other advisors who are thinking of using Navigate?
I love Navigate! It takes a little getting used to in the beginning, but what technology doesn't. A helpful feature of Navigate is where you can sync your calendar (Outlook or Gmail) and students can schedule an appointment with you directly through the platform instead of back and forth emails.
