How has your department/unit benefited from using Navigate?
Pamplin Undergraduate Programs has benefited from using Navigate’s note-taking and referral features. We had been taking notes in our own system and it was beneficial for advisors to see each others’ notes and now we have the ability to share notes across campus. Making referrals through the system is beneficial as well since it makes it easier for students to access services across campus.

What feature in Navigate do you utilize the most?
I use Navigate primarily for reporting on appointments. Since much more advising was done through email this semester, I used the appointment reporting feature to capture email as well as Zoom advising. I used it extensively this month because I am trying to update all my reports as thoroughly as possible to make the transition to a new advisor as smooth as possible (I am retiring from my position after this semester).

What would you tell other advisors who are thinking of using Navigate?
I would tell other advisors that Navigate provides “one-stop shopping” for student information.
