What was the biggest challenge you encountered as a transfer college student and how did you overcome it? I was married with 2 small kids and moving across the country and setting up a household and committing to full-time academics was the biggest challenge. You put one foot in front of another, keep things simple, focus on family and why we did what we did. Before to long we were done and it was some of the best years of our life.
What is one piece of advice you would give transfer college students? Make the most of the classes you take, don't take "wasted units", focus on the required cataloged courses. Also, maximize your tuition per semester; for example, if the semester cost for full-time status is $10,000 for 12 units take 15 or 18 units for the same price. Work the system don't let the system work you.
