What was the biggest challenge you encountered as a transfer college student and how did you overcome it? Academically, there were some problems transferring credits, so I had to take additional classes I wasn't expecting. Personally, it was hard to make friends at the start because a lot of social groups had already formed. I had to actively put my self in situations to meet new people.
What is one piece of advice you would give transfer college students? Join clubs that interest you. It will provide additional opportunities to meet people with similar passions. Also, take advantage of undergraduate research opportunities. It's a great way to find out if you actually like a particular field, and to build your professional network.
