What do you enjoy most about VT or your major? The Biological Systems Engineering Department has provided a welcoming community and purpose into my life at Virginia Tech. The faculty genuinely cares about the success and well-being of every department member. I have also made life-long friends with other students who are excited about the future of our field.
What one piece of advice would you give to a potential transfer student? Just take your time! Transitioning into any new environment can be uncomfortable, and it's easy to feel frustrated when you haven't found a sense of community in the first month of classes. Remember that being uncomfortable is okay and completely natural. Lean into it!
