Advising Matters: Everyone Plays a Role in Student Success

Call for Proposals
Proposals will be accepted October 21-November 22, 2024.
Breakout sessions and workshops will provide members of the academic advising community multiple opportunities to enhance their professional development and overall well-being. We are looking for interactive, innovative, and engaging presentations that will help get attendees prepared for advising and ways to cultivate collaboration with other departments to support students and their success. Successful proposal themes may include but are not limited to:
- Building effective collaborations
- Collaborations which enhance programming/support for students
- Effective communication strategies
- Advising and student retention
- Belongingness
- Creating spaces to build relationships
- Managing teams for overall impact and well-being
- Working with students on probation
- Being a student advocate
- Supporting students when navigating challenges
Proposal Guidelines
Proposals should include your presentation title and a brief abstract (100 words max) describing the learning objectives. The title does not have to incorporate the conference theme but would be helpful. Abstracts will be included in the conference program and on the conference website. Proposals will be accepted October 21-November 22, 2024.
