Call for Proposals

Proposals will be accepted October 13-November 21, 2025.

Breakout sessions and workshops will give the academic advising community multiple opportunities to enhance their professional development and overall well-being. We are looking for interactive, innovative, and engaging presentations from a variety of voices that will help attendees prepare for and elevate their advising practices through relationships, care, and collaboration. 

Successful proposal themes may include but are not limited to:

  • Student-Centered Approaches: Practices that promote belonging and student ownership of their success
  • Relationship-Building: Strategies for creating trust, meaningful advisor–student connections, and collaborative partnerships across campus
  • Advising with Care: Holistic, wellness-focused, or trauma-informed approaches that support student well-being
  • Collaboration: Cross-unit initiatives, team-based advising, and partnerships that strengthen student support
  • Innovation: Creative uses of technology, hybrid models, and data-informed practices that enhance connection and care
  • Advisor Growth: Professional development, leadership, and advisor well-being as foundations for student success
  • Impact and Assessment: Evidence-based practices and measurable outcomes tied to relationships, care, and collaboration

Proposal Guidelines

Proposals should include your presentation title and a brief abstract (800-character limit, includes spaces) describing the learning objectives. The title does not have to incorporate the conference theme but would be helpful. Abstracts will be included in the conference program and on the conference website. Proposals will be blindly reviewed and ranked by a committee.
