Section II: Academic Advising at Virginia Tech

Academic advising at Virginia Tech aspires to achieve distinction of holistic student advising through implementation of initiatives that will enhance the coordinated approach to student support, promote timely graduation, and support the growth and development of the advising community. The undergraduate academic advising strategic plan guides the work academic advising initiatives does to support the advising community and serves as a foundation for the work being done in advising. In addition, the assessment of academic advising is an essential component to continuous improvement of holistic student advising and is led by the Advising Assessment Leadership Group.
