What one piece of advice would you give to a potential transfer student?
Trust the process; transferring is a challenging yet rewarding experience. Everyone’s transfer journey will look different and that is okay! As time goes on everything will fall into place and you will be able to look back and see so much academic and personal growth!
What do you hope to be doing in ten years?
In ten years I hope to be working in a university as a coordinator within a student affairs department. After graduating I plan on pursuing my Masters in Higher Education and being able to support students through their college journey.

What one piece of advice would you give to a potential transfer student?
My biggest piece of advice is to explore and enjoy what VT has to offer. After transferring to VT, I explored different career options and changed majors after a semester as well as added several minors. This allowed to make the most of my time here and find what I truly wanted to study. Don't be afraid to try something new or change something about your academic plan, make your time at VT rewarding!
What do you enjoy most about VT or your major?
What I've enjoyed the most during my time at VT, is the amount of growth I've had in my major. The projects I'm doing now, I would not have dreamed of being able to accomplish a year ago. It's been a very rewarding journey, and I'm excited to see where graduation leads me!.

What do you enjoy most about VT or your major?
VT’s campus is truly unlike any other. I love seeing the mountains on my morning walks to class, and there’s always something to do downtown.
What one piece of advice would you give to a potential transfer student?
Join the Transfer Experience LLC! You’ll be in a dorm with other transfers like yourself, and it definitely makes you feel less alone in your new transition. There’s also a lot of fun events!

What one piece of advice would you give to a potential transfer student?
Use your advisor. Join at least one club. Keep an open mind. It is easy to separate and isolate yourself from others when you're in a new environment, but I encourage you to lean into the opportunities in front of you. Just because you did not start at Virginia Tech, does not mean you don't deserve a well rounded college experience!
What do you hope to be doing in ten years?
In ten years I hope to be focusing on pre and post space travel medical research. If we all want the chance to travel in space, lots of work is still to be done!
