Honor’s College 101

  • Time: 3:00-4:00 p.m.
  • Description: Join representatives from the Honor’s College to learn about general information that is shared out to prospective and current students and new changes to how students earn honor’s credits and maintain honor’s status. There will also be a general overview of the new honor’s minor. This interactive session will include time at the end for a Q&A session.

Financial Aid Awareness Month

  • Date: Wednesday, February 28, 2024
  • Time: 1:00-2:00 p.m.
  • Description: In honor of February being National Financial Aid Awareness Month, representatives from University Scholarship and Financial Aid will address the new FAFSA process as well as provide a refresher on Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) to include SAP warning and final SAP and how they see advisors assisting students through both processes. Time will be included at the end for a Q&A session.

What’s new in the Registrar’s Office?

  • Date: Monday, April 8, 2024
  • Time: 11:00 a.m-12:00 p.m.
  • Description: Representatives from the Registrar’s will share updates about Leave of Absence and Academic Relief and course equivalency evaluations handled through TES as well as the new communication plan to students when transcripts are received and processed. This interactive session will include time at the end for a Q&A session.

How to Best Serve Our Corp of Cadets

  • Date: Thursday, April 18, 2024
  • Time: 1:00-2:00 p.m.
  • Description: Captain Jamie McGrath will be sharing the needs of new Corp of Cadets students post-Covid to include the required courses for each military branch, ways academic advisors can help students build their schedules to set them up for success, and the process for onboarding new cadets. This session will also provide time for discussion with Captain McGrath and a Q&A session.
