• Recommendation: My favorite thing to do in the Blacksburg area is going to the New River. Here you can tube, fish, or just swim! If you’re looking to get outside but stay closer to campus, I recommend going to the Blacksburg Municipal Golf course (aka “the Hill”) and watching the sunset
