Recommendation: Be sure to check out the Huckleberry Trail! Some of my favorite spots in Blacksburg are downtown, especially Bollo's Coffee, which is my favorite coffee shop. You should also visit the cultural centers—they're creative, welcoming spaces with lots of cool events and opportunities to get involved. For food, I love the local spots downtown, especially Green's and The Cellar. Both have a great atmosphere and offer good deals. Finally, keep an eye on GobblerConnect for all the free events and activities happening around campus!
