Virtual Majors Fair 2020
Virtual Majors Fair was Monday, September 28 - Thursday, October 1, 2020.
If you were unable to join us live, you will find a recording of the live session for each major/program below.
With more than 100 different majors at Virginia Tech, deciding what area to study can be a difficult decision for students. The Majors Fair, hosted by Academic Advising Initiatives and the Student Government Association (SGA), can help students learn more about the university’s programs to find the best fit or even to explore a second major.
The fair will be moving to a virtual format for 2020, occurring over a four day period, beginning Monday, September 28th - Thursday, October 1st. Each day will have time allotted for majors/departments within the various colleges and special programs to share information and answer questions. Virtual Majors Fair will be live so students can attend sessions that interest them, as well as recorded for future accessibility.
“This event gives [students] the opportunity to see all kinds of different options that are available to them,” explained Dr. Kimberly Smith, associate vice provost for Student Success Initiatives. “If they are thinking about going into one major but are unsure, or if they are thinking about a couple of different majors, then they can learn what those majors are really about. It equips students with more information.”
