What is one of your favorite parts of your role as an advisor? I love new student orientation and virtual course registration the best. Working with students and families when they are just starting out is one of my absolute favorite times to advise students and build a relationship as they are onboarding to the university!
What is one piece of advice you would offer to a brand new advisor? Advising is such a rewarding career. You will oftentimes find yourself as the glue that holds it all together for a student trying to make sense of it all. Even the most insignificant note or action from you can have a huge impact on just one student, so never forget what a positive influence you can be on a student's success.
